**Job Title:** Site Engineer Irrigation & WRD
**Qualification:** B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering
**Department:** Projects (Irrigation / WRD)
**Reports To:** Project Manager
**Job Summary**
The Site Engineer Irrigation & WRD is responsible for on-site execution and supervision of irrigation and water resources projects including canal lining, stop dams, anicuts, and allied works. The role ensures work is carried out as per approved drawings, WRD specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Supervise day-to-day site activities for irrigation and WRD works
* Execute works such as canal lining, stop dams, anicuts, earthwork, and concrete structures
* Ensure construction as per approved drawings, WRD specifications, and IS codes
* Set out works, levels, and alignment as per drawings and survey data
* Coordinate with supervisors, foremen, and labor teams
* Monitor material quality, workmanship, and site safety
* Maintain daily progress reports, site registers, and measurement records
* Assist in maintaining Measurement Books (MB)
* Coordinate with WRD site engineers and inspection staff
* Ensure proper curing, shuttering, reinforcement fixing, and concreting practices
* Identify site issues and report to the Project Manager
* Support billing, quantity calculations, and material reconciliation
**Required Qualifications**
* B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering
* Knowledge of WRD specifications and irrigation works preferred
**Experience**
* **3 8 years** of experience in **Irrigation / WRD projects only**
* Hands-on experience in **canal lining, stop dams, anicuts, and hydraulic structures**
**Key Skills & Competencies**
* Strong understanding of irrigation construction practices
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
* Basic knowledge of surveying and leveling
* Measurement and quantity calculation skills
* Quality and safety awareness
* Good coordination and communication skills
* Willingness to work at remote project sites
