**Job Title:** Project Head Irrigation & WRD Projects

**Qualification:** B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

 **Job Summary**

The Project Head Irrigation & WRD Projects is responsible for the complete execution and delivery of irrigation infrastructure projects including canal lining, stop dams, anicuts, and allied water resources works. The role ensures compliance with WRD specifications, drawings, quality standards, safety norms, and contractual obligations while achieving project timelines and cost targets.

 **Key Responsibilities**

* Head end-to-end execution of irrigation and WRD projects

* Manage projects such as canal lining, stop dams, anicuts, barrages, and allied works

* Ensure strict adherence to WRD/State Government specifications, IS codes, and contract conditions

* Review and approve construction methodologies, bar bending schedules, and concreting plans

* Plan and monitor project schedules, resources, and budgets

* Coordinate with WRD officials, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies

* Oversee site execution, measurement books (MB), billing, and RA/final bills

* Ensure quality control for earthwork, concrete, masonry, lining works, and hydraulic structures

* Monitor safety practices and environmental compliance at project sites

* Identify technical and contractual risks and implement mitigation measures

* Manage procurement of materials, plant & machinery, and subcontractors

* Lead and mentor project managers, engineers, surveyors, and site teams

* Resolve technical, contractual, and execution-related issues

* Represent the organization in progress review meetings with WRD authorities

 **Required Qualifications**

* B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory)

* Knowledge of WRD SoR, DSR, and tendering procedures preferred

**Experience**

* Minimum **12 20 years** of experience in **Irrigation & WRD projects only**

* Proven experience in **canal lining, stop dams, anicuts, and water retaining structures**

* Prior experience as Project Head / Project Manager for government irrigation projects
