**Job Title:** Project Manager Irrigation & WRD
**Qualification:** B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
**Department:** Projects (Irrigation / WRD)
**Reports To:** Project Head / COO
**Job Summary**
The Project Manager Irrigation & WRD is responsible for planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of irrigation and water resources projects including canal lining, stop dams, anicuts, and allied works. The role ensures adherence to WRD specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, safety norms, and project timelines.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Manage day-to-day execution of irrigation and WRD projects
* Execute works such as canal lining, stop dams, anicuts, and earthwork structures
* Ensure construction as per WRD drawings, specifications, and IS codes
* Plan site activities, manpower deployment, and machinery utilization
* Coordinate with WRD engineers, consultants, and inspection agencies
* Maintain Measurement Books (MB), daily progress reports, and site records
* Prepare and submit RA bills and assist in final billing
* Ensure quality control for concrete, masonry, reinforcement, and lining works
* Monitor safety practices and environmental compliance at site
* Track project progress and report deviations to the Project Head
* Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and material logistics
* Resolve technical issues and site-related challenges
* Ensure timely completion of works within approved budgets
**Required Qualifications**
* B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
* Diploma holders with extensive WRD experience may be considered (optional)
**Experience**
* **8 15 years** of experience **only in Irrigation / WRD projects**
* Hands-on experience in **canal lining, stop dams, anicuts, and hydraulic structures**
