Job Summary

The Hydraulic Fitter is responsible for assembling, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing hydraulic systems and components. The role ensures optimal performance, safety, and reliability of hydraulic machinery in industrial or construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and maintain hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, cylinders, and actuators

• Inspect hydraulic components for wear, damage, or leaks and perform repairs

• Diagnose hydraulic system issues using technical manuals, schematics, and test equipment

• Replace or repair faulty hoses, seals, and fittings

• Perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic machinery and systems

• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize system performance

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures

• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues efficiently to minimize downtime

Required Skills & Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Hydraulics / Fitter trade

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, tools, and equipment

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

• Hands-on experience with hydraulic machinery and preventive maintenance

• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of safety practices and standards

Experience

• 1 3 years of experience as a Hydraulic Fitter (freshers with strong practical training may also apply)

• Experience with industrial machinery, construction equipment, or manufacturing plants is an advantage
