Job Summary

The Millwright Fitter is responsible for installing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment in industrial plants or manufacturing units. The role ensures machinery operates efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and align industrial machinery and mechanical systems

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machines and equipment

• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and perform timely repairs

• Fit and align shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys, and other mechanical components

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance procedures

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production teams to optimize equipment performance

Required Skills & Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade

• Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly, fitting, and machine maintenance

• Ability to read technical drawings and follow precise instructions

• Hands-on experience with industrial machinery, tools, and alignment techniques

• Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail

• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and practices

Experience

• 1 5 years of experience as a Millwright Fitter or in machinery maintenance
