Job Summary:
The Shift In-Charge (Ferro Alloys) is responsible for overseeing and managing all plant operations during their shift. This includes supervising production, maintaining safety and quality standards, coordinating with maintenance and quality teams, and ensuring uninterrupted ferro alloy production according to company and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily production activities of the ferro alloys plant during the shift.
Ensure smooth operation of furnaces, mixers, crushers, and other production equipment.
Monitor production parameters to achieve target output and maintain product quality.
Coordinate with the Quality Control team to ensure products meet required specifications.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
Manage and guide shift operators, technicians, and other plant personnel.
Identify process issues, equipment faults, or bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate production logs, shift reports, and operational documentation.
Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
Train and mentor junior staff to ensure proper handling of machinery and adherence to SOPs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma / Bachelor s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
Minimum [X] years of experience in ferro alloy, steel, or metallurgical plant operations.
Proven experience in supervising a production team and handling shift operations.
Knowledge of furnace operations, alloy production processes, and safety standards
