The Caf Steward is responsible for providing excellent customer service by assisting guests, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting caf operations. This role ensures a pleasant dining experience through prompt service, hygiene, and teamwork.
Greet customers politely and assist with seating when required
Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or counter
Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner
Ensure tables, chairs, and service areas are clean and well-organized
Clear used dishes and reset tables quickly
Assist in basic food preparation when required
Handle bills and assist with payments if assigned
Follow hygiene, safety, and food-handling standards
Support kitchen and service staff during busy hours
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in a caf , restaurant, or hospitality role is an advantage
Basic knowledge of food and beverage service
