The Senior MIS Officer is responsible for managing, analyzing, and improving the organization’s data and information systems. The role involves developing reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to support decision-making, streamline processes, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of management data across departments.
Design, develop, and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and data models for management and departmental use.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various business systems (ERP, HRMS, CRM, etc.).
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Automate repetitive reporting tasks using advanced Excel functions, SQL queries, or BI tools.
Monitor data quality and integrity, identifying and correcting inconsistencies or errors.
Collaborate with departments to understand reporting requirements and develop customized reports.
Analyze operational and financial performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Support management in strategic planning and performance monitoring through data insights.
Coordinate with IT teams to enhance data collection systems and improve database efficiency.
Train junior MIS staff or end-users in report generation and data analysis tools.
Maintain confidentiality and security of all management information and data systems.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 4–7 years of experience in MIS reporting, data analysis, or business intelligence roles.
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros, Power Query, etc.).
Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of database structures and data management principles
