Quality Control Chemist

Job Purpose:

To ensure that raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products meet defined quality standards through accurate testing, analysis, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Laboratory Testing & Analysis:

• Perform chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products

• Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory tests as per SOPs, specifications, and test methods

• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, pH meter, and titration equipment

• Prepare reagents, standards, and solutions for analysis

Documentation & Compliance:

• Record test results accurately in laboratory notebooks, worksheets, and LIMS

• Prepare and review Certificates of Analysis (COA)

• Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and ISO guidelines

• Follow data integrity and laboratory safety requirements

Quality Control Activities:

• Support in-process quality checks and batch release activities

• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results

• Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
