The Mistri is responsible for supervising and executing masonry and general construction work at the site. The role involves ensuring that all building activities are carried out according to design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The Mistri oversees labourers, allocates tasks, and ensures efficient use of materials and time.
Supervise and guide masons, helpers, and other site labourers in daily construction activities.
Carry out brickwork, plastering, concreting, flooring, tiling, and other masonry tasks as required.
Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Ensure that work is completed according to quality standards and project timelines.
Check measurements, levels, and alignments to maintain accuracy in construction.
Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
Report material requirements and shortages to the site supervisor or storekeeper.
Ensure that safety procedures are followed at the worksite.
Inspect completed work for quality assurance before submission or handover.
Assist engineers and supervisors in site planning and daily reporting.
