**Position Title:** Mistri Plant Maintenance

**Job Summary:**

The Plant Mistri is responsible for supervising daily mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring smooth operation of plant machinery, equipment, and infrastructure. The role involves guiding technicians, planning routine maintenance, carrying out repairs, and ensuring safety compliance within the plant.

 **Key Responsibilities:**

 **1. Maintenance & Repair**

* Perform and supervise mechanical repairs of plant machinery, motors, pumps, conveyors, and other equipment.

* Conduct routine preventive maintenance as per schedule.

* Troubleshoot mechanical issues and take corrective actions promptly.

* Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and adjustment of machines.

 **2. Team Supervision**

* Lead a team of fitters, helpers, and technicians.

* Assign daily work tasks and monitor progress.

* Train team members on tools, safety, and maintenance procedures.

 **3. Machine Installation & Commissioning**

* Assist in installation of new equipment and machinery.

* Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and testing during commissioning.

 **4. Safety & Compliance**

* Ensure all work is done following plant safety standards and PPE requirements.

* Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment.

* Maintain proper housekeeping in work areas.

 **5. Documentation**

* Maintain logs of maintenance activities, breakdown reports, and spare parts usage.

* Report major issues to engineers or plant manager.

* Assist in planning spare parts inventory.

 **Qualifications & Skills:**

* ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Fitter trade (preferred).

* 3 7 years of experience in plant or industrial maintenance.

* Strong knowledge of mechanical tools, equipment, and repair techniques.

* Ability to read basic engineering drawings.

* Good leadership and communication skills.

* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

 **Physical & Work Requirements:**

* Ability to work in shifts and handle physically demanding tasks.

* Comfortable working in industrial plant environment (noise, dust, heat).

* Must follow strict safety protocols.
