ACCOUNTANT/CA (logistic division accounts executive)

Job Purpose:

To manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations related to logistics, ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely vendor payments, and support for cost control and reporting in the logistics division.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Management:

    • Record and maintain all logistics-related transactions, including freight, transportation, warehousing, and customs charges.

    • Prepare and post journal entries, maintain ledgers, and reconcile accounts related to logistics operations.

    • Verify vendor invoices, ensure proper documentation, and process payments on time.

  2. Cost Monitoring & Analysis:

    • Track logistics expenses and assist in preparing reports on cost trends.

    • Support the logistics team in budgeting and forecasting activities.

    • Help identify cost-saving opportunities and monitor compliance with approved budgets.

  3. Reporting & Compliance:

    • Assist in preparation of periodic financial reports for the logistics division.

    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory regulations.

    • Support internal and statutory audits for logistics-related accounts.

  4. Coordination & Documentation:

    • Liaise with transporters, vendors, and internal departments to resolve financial queries.

    • Maintain proper filing and documentation for all logistics transactions.

    • Support senior accounts staff in ad hoc financial tasks and analysis.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

  • 1 3 years of experience in accounts, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or operations.

  • Knowledge of accounting software (Tally, SAP, ERP systems).

  • Understanding of taxation, GST, and statutory compliance is an advantage.
