The Sales Executive in a construction company is responsible for generating leads, building client relationships, and securing projects related to construction, real estate development, infrastructure, or building materials. The role requires a combination of technical knowledge, market understanding, and strong negotiation skills to achieve sales targets.
Lead Generation & Client Acquisition:
Identify potential clients such as real estate developers, contractors, architects, and government departments.
Develop strategies to acquire new clients and expand the company s market presence.
Project Sales & Proposal Management:
Prepare and present project proposals, quotations, and bids.
Understand client requirements and provide customized construction solutions.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and timelines.
Relationship Management:
Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
Act as the primary point of contact between clients and project teams.
Market Analysis & Strategy:
Monitor competitor activity and industry trends.
Provide feedback to management for product or service improvements.
Identify opportunities for expansion in new markets or regions.
Sales Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of leads, sales pipelines, and client interactions.
Report weekly/monthly sales performance to management.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and project management basics.
Client-oriented mindset with problem-solving ability.
Ability to prepare persuasive presentations and proposals.
Networking and relationship-building skills.
Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
MBA in Sales/Marketing or relevant certifications is an advantage.
