 **Job Title: Plant Supervisor**

 

**Job Summary**

 

The Plant Supervisor oversees daily operations within the production plant to ensure safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity. This role involves coordinating staff, managing equipment and workflow, enforcing safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The supervisor acts as the primary point of contact between workers, management, and other departments.

 

 **Key Responsibilities**

 

**1. Production & Operations Management**

 

* Monitor daily plant operations to ensure production targets are met.

* Coordinate workforce assignments and adjust staffing as needed.

* Ensure all machinery and processes operate efficiently and safely.

* Review production schedules and prioritize tasks accordingly.

* Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and performance.

 

**2. Safety & Compliance**

 

* Enforce workplace safety policies and ensure employees follow all safety procedures.

* Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas.

* Report and investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety concerns.

* Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards.

 

**3. Team Leadership & Training**

 

* Supervise, motivate, and support plant employees.

* Conduct training on equipment operation, safety procedures, and work processes.

* Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.

* Resolve conflicts and maintain positive employee relations.

 

 **4. Quality Control**

 

* Monitor quality standards throughout production.

* Work with quality teams to address defects, non-conformities, and process issues.

* Ensure finished goods meet customer and regulatory requirements.

 

 **5. Maintenance & Process Improvement**

 

* Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment upgrades.

* Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and reduce waste.

* Assist with implementing Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives.

 

 **Qualifications**

 

 **Education & Experience**

 

* High school diploma required; technical or engineering diploma preferred.

* 3 5 years of experience in plant operations, manufacturing, or industrial supervision.

* Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.

 

**Skills**

 

* Strong leadership and communication skills.

* Knowledge of production equipment and manufacturing processes.

* Ability to troubleshoot operational issues.

* Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality standards.
