The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, statutory compliance, and supporting management with financial reporting and analysis, particularly for construction projects.
Maintain complete books of accounts as per accounting standards
Handle day-to-day accounting entries, vouchers, and reconciliations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Oversee bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations
Handle GST compliance: returns, reconciliations, and assessments
Ensure TDS deduction, payment, and filing of returns
Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits
Monitor project-wise costing, budgeting, and expense control
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
Supervise junior accounting staff and provide guidance
Assist in finalization of accounts and MIS reporting
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
Expertise in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances
Experience with accounting software (Tally, ERP, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and coordination skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
Bachelor s degree in Commerce (B.Com) Mandatory
M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter Preferred
