**Job Description: SMRS telecalling
**Job Summary**
The SMRS is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all service, maintenance, and repair activities in the automobile workshop. The role ensures high-quality service delivery, timely repairs, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards. The SMRS acts as a link between technicians, customers, and management to ensure smooth workshop operations.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Service Operations Management**
* Supervise daily workshop activities including job allocation, workflow monitoring, and quality control.
* Ensure proper diagnosis of vehicles and accurate repair timelines.
* Maintain workshop productivity and minimize vehicle turnaround time.
* Monitor adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and OEM guidelines.
**2. Customer Support & Communication**
* Communicate repair status, cost estimates, and delivery timelines to customers.
* Handle customer complaints or escalations and provide effective resolution.
* Ensure transparency and customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
**3. Technical Support**
* Provide technical guidance to technicians for complex repairs or diagnostics.
* Verify the quality of work and conduct post-repair inspections.
* Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems.
**4. Documentation & Reporting**
* Prepare job cards, service reports, and repair summaries.
* Maintain accurate records of spare parts usage, labor hours, and repair details.
* Generate daily/weekly service activity reports for management.
**5. Team Supervision & Training**
* Oversee, guide, and support technicians, mechanics, and service advisors.
* Conduct regular training on new automotive technologies and safety practices.
* Evaluate team performance and recommend improvements.
**6. Safety & Compliance**
* Ensure workshop safety rules and environmental regulations are followed.
* Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and proper tool management in the workshop.
* Follow company quality standards and OEM compliance guidelines.
**Required Skills & Competencies**
* Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical, diagnostics, etc.).
* Leadership and team-management abilities.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
* Time management and organizational skills.
* Familiarity with service management software (DMS, CRM, etc.).
