Job Summary

The Senior Marketing Manager will lead the marketing strategy of the news channel to strengthen brand positioning, increase viewership, and drive advertising revenue. The role involves strategic planning, campaign execution, team leadership, advertiser engagement, and coordination with editorial, sales, and digital teams to maximize market impact.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing & Brand Management

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the news channel across TV, digital, and social platforms

  • Strengthen brand visibility, credibility, and market leadership

  • Plan and manage promotional campaigns for flagship shows, special news coverage, and events

  • Analyze market trends, audience behavior, and competitor positioning

Advertising & Revenue Support

  • Work closely with the sales team to support advertising revenue growth

  • Design innovative advertising solutions, sponsorship packages, and branded content opportunities

  • Assist in pricing strategies, media planning, and advertiser presentations

  • Build strong relationships with key advertisers, agencies, and corporate partners

Campaign Planning & Execution

  • Lead on-air, off-air, digital, and ground-level marketing campaigns

  • Oversee promotional creatives, trailers, print ads, hoardings, and digital marketing assets

  • Ensure timely execution and effectiveness of campaigns within budget

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing team

  • Coordinate with editorial, programming, production, digital, and sales departments

  • Set KPIs, monitor performance, and drive team productivity

Digital & Audience Growth

  • Drive digital marketing strategies including social media, YouTube, OTT, and website promotions

  • Use audience insights, TRP data, and digital analytics to optimize campaigns

  • Enhance viewer engagement and audience loyalty

Budgeting, Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and manage annual marketing budgets

  • Track ROI of marketing initiatives and advertising campaigns

  • Present regular performance reports to senior management


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or Mass Communication

  • 7 12 years of experience in marketing within media, broadcasting, or digital news platforms

  • Proven experience in leading large-scale marketing campaigns and teams

  • Strong understanding of TV ratings (TRP), BARC data, media planning, and ad sales dynamics
