Job Summary:
The Train Attendant ensures a safe, comfortable, and pleasant travel experience for passengers on board. This role involves customer service, safety monitoring, ticket verification, and assisting passengers throughout the journey. The ideal candidate is courteous, attentive, and able to handle emergencies calmly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet passengers and assist with boarding and seating arrangements.

  • Verify tickets and ensure all passengers have valid travel documents.

  • Provide information about train schedules, facilities, and safety procedures.

  • Ensure onboard cleanliness and report any maintenance or safety issues.

  • Serve food, beverages, and other amenities if applicable.

  • Monitor passenger behavior to ensure compliance with safety and conduct regulations.

  • Respond promptly to passenger inquiries, complaints, and emergencies.

  • Coordinate with train drivers, conductors, and station staff for smooth operations.

  • Maintain logs of incidents, delays, or passenger issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or customer service training preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.

  • Good physical stamina for long hours on duty.

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and first aid is a plus.

  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
