Job Summary:
The Rolling Mill Manager / Shift In-Charge is responsible for supervising and managing all rolling mill operations during the shift. The role ensures smooth production, adherence to quality standards, efficient equipment operation, and safety compliance. The individual coordinates with maintenance, quality control, and other departments to achieve production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily rolling mill operations, including hot and cold rolling processes.
Monitor production parameters to ensure consistent product dimensions, surface finish, and mechanical properties.
Ensure raw material handling, heating, rolling, and finishing processes are carried out efficiently.
Coordinate with the Quality Control team to maintain product quality according to specifications.
Manage the shift team of operators, technicians, and helpers, including training and performance monitoring.
Oversee preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of rolling mill equipment.
Maintain production logs, shift reports, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
Identify process bottlenecks and suggest improvements for productivity and quality.
Liaise with procurement, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma / Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or related engineering field.
Minimum [X] years of experience in rolling mill operations, steel, or metallurgical plants.
Proven experience in supervising production teams and handling shift operations.
Interview, Any, 1 year experince, B.E/B.Tech.
