To promote and sell SBI credit card products, maintain and strengthen relationships with customers and referral partners (branches / retail outlets / merchants), and support overall growth of the credit card portfolio.
Sales & Customer Acquisition
Proactively approach and interact with customers (walk in at bank branches, retail outlets, malls, petrol pumps or other tie up merchants) to present, explain and promote SBI credit cards.
Educate customers about card benefits, features, offers, eligibility criteria and application process to help them choose the right card.
Generate leads both from walk-ins and through field outreach or partner referrals and follow up diligently to convert into card applications.
Meet or exceed monthly / quarterly sales targets / credit card issuance targets.
On boarding & Documentation
Collect necessary customer documents (KYC, identity, income proof, etc.) and ensure proper completion of application and documentation processes.
Liaise with internal teams and branches to facilitate smooth processing of applications and card approval procedures.
Customer Relationship Management & Service
Maintain relationships with existing customers; assist them with queries, concerns and follow ups related to their credit card application or card status.
Provide after sales service support customers for any card related issues or escalations, and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
Partner & Merchant Collaboration (if applicable)
Work with retail outlets / merchants / partner branches to identify potential customers, promote card offers, and increase card penetration via tie-ups (especially relevant for branch channel or retail channel sales).
Onboard and train partner merchants / referral sources on card features, promotions, and the process for referring customers.
Reporting & Compliance
Maintain sales records, prepare MIS/sales reports and submit to team leads / branch heads regularly.
Ensure adherence to company / bank policies, regulatory guidelines (KYC, documentation, data privacy) while handling customer data and applications.
Education: Often requires at least 12th pass; many roles prefer graduation.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills (in English or local language) for interacting with customers, merchants, and internal teams.
Sales skills: Good persuasion, negotiation, and convincing skills to pitch credit cards and close deals.
Customer oriented: Friendly, approachable, with a customer service mindset to handle queries and provide after-sales support.
Target driven: Ability to work under pressure, meet sales targets, follow up leads and ensure closure.
Basic computer and documentation skills (for application processing, reporting, data entry) especially if the job involves branch or field operations.
(For some roles) willingness to work flexible hours or field visits, depending on assignment.
