Job Summary

The Hotel Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for providing a warm welcome, handling reservations, managing check-ins and check-outs, and ensuring an excellent guest experience throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival

  • Handle guest check-in and check-out procedures

  • Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications

  • Answer phone calls, emails, and online booking inquiries

  • Provide accurate information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions

  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly or escalate when necessary

  • Process payments, issue invoices, and manage cash/card transactions

  • Maintain accurate guest records and front desk documentation

  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments

  • Ensure front desk area is clean, organized, and presentable

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (hotel management qualification preferred)

  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is an advantage

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel management systems (PMS)

  • Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude

  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
