The Hospital Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare staff. This role is responsible for managing the front desk, providing excellent customer service, coordinating patient flow, and supporting administrative operations to ensure a smooth and efficient healthcare environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Patient & Visitor Reception**
* Greet patients, families, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
* Provide information, directions, and assistance as needed.
* Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
**2. Appointment & Scheduling**
* Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments.
* Coordinate with medical staff to ensure accurate appointment availability.
* Notify patients of delays, cancellations, or required documentation.
**3. Patient Registration & Records**
* Collect patient information, verify identity, and update electronic medical records (EMR).
* Ensure accuracy of insurance details, consent forms, and personal data.
* Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with hospital policies and privacy regulations.
**4. Communication & Coordination**
* Answer and route incoming phone calls promptly.
* Relay messages to the appropriate departments or clinicians.
* Coordinate with nursing and clinical teams regarding patient flow and waiting times.
**5. Administrative Support**
* Handle billing inquiries, process payments, and provide receipts.
* Maintain an organized reception area and manage office supplies.
* Assist with filing, scanning, and other clerical tasks as required.
**Qualifications**
**Education & Experience**
* High school diploma or equivalent (required).
* Prior experience in a medical or customer-service environment (preferred).
* Familiarity with EMR systems and basic computer applications.
Interview, Any, fresher or experince, 12th pass.
