Job Summary

A plumber installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing systems used for water distribution and waste disposal in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. They ensure systems meet safety and building regulations and function efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water, gas, and drainage systems.

• Diagnose plumbing issues and determine appropriate repair methods.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan plumbing layouts.

• Install sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, and other plumbing fixtures.

• Test plumbing systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other tools.

• Cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles using hand and power tools.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and building codes.

• Respond to emergency plumbing calls and perform routine maintenance checks.
