**Job Summary**

The Placement Officer is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with industry partners, coordinating student placement activities, preparing students for recruitment processes, and ensuring successful job placements. The role involves career counseling, employer engagement, and continuous monitoring of placement outcomes.

 **Key Responsibilities**

 **1. Employer & Industry Engagement**

* Identify, contact, and build partnerships with companies for internships, campus recruitment, and job opportunities.
* Maintain a database of employers and regularly follow up for placement opportunities.
* Organize campus drives, job fairs, employer interactions, and industry seminars.

**2. Student Training & Preparation**

* Conduct or coordinate training in resume writing, interview skills, group discussions, and soft skills.
* Assess student skills, career interests, and training needs.
* Guide students on career options, job requirements, and industry expectations.

**3. Placement Coordination**

* Plan, schedule, and manage all placement activities.
* Communicate job openings and drive announcements to students.
* Coordinate logistics for interviews online and on-campus.
* Ensure proper documentation and reporting of placement processes.

 **4. Monitoring & Reporting**

* Maintain accurate records of student placements, offers, and company feedback.
* Prepare weekly/monthly placement reports for management.
* Track placement percentages and work toward meeting annual placement targets.
 **5. Relationship Management**

* Maintain strong alumni connections to support placements and mentorship opportunities.
* Address student and employer concerns promptly and professionally.
* Represent the institution in industry meetings, networking events, and career forums.

 **Education**

* Bachelor s/Master s degree in HR, Business Administration, Education, or related field.

 **Experience**

* 1 5 years of experience in placement coordination, HR, recruitment, or career counseling (depending on role level).
 **Skills**

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities
* Knowledge of recruitment trends and industry requirements
* Organizational and event management skills
* Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and placement portals
* Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets
