Job Title: Pickup Driver

Job Summary

The Pickup Driver is responsible for safely operating a pickup truck to transport goods, materials, or personnel to designated locations. This role includes loading and unloading cargo, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and following all safety and traffic regulations. The driver represents the company during deliveries and must maintain excellent customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a pickup truck to transport items between assigned locations in a timely and safe manner.

• Load and unload materials, ensuring cargo is properly secured to prevent damage or loss.

• Follow assigned schedules, delivery routes, and instructions from dispatch or supervisors.

• Verify delivery documentation, including receipts, invoices, and delivery notes.

• Perform routine vehicle inspections (oil, tires, brakes, lights, fuel).

• Report any mechanical issues or required maintenance.

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure compliance with company standards.

• Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company driving policies.

• Provide courteous and professional customer service during pickups and deliveries.

• Assist in warehouse or yard operations when needed (optional depending on company).

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license (specify class if needed).

• Clean driving record with proven experience as a driver.
