**Job Summary:**
The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood samples safely and accurately for laboratory testing, ensuring patient comfort, proper labeling, and adherence to infection control and safety standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary methods
* Ensure correct patient identification before sample collection
* Label, store, and transport samples accurately to the laboratory
* Follow infection control, hygiene, and biomedical waste protocols
* Maintain records of samples collected and tests requested
* Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety
* Handle pediatric, geriatric, and critical patients with care
* Maintain cleanliness of collection area and equipment
* Coordinate with lab technicians and pathologists
* Assist in home sample collection if required
**Eligibility & Qualifications:**
* Diploma / Certificate in Phlebotomy or Medical Laboratory Technology
* 0 5 years of experience in hospital or diagnostic center (freshers can apply)
* Knowledge of blood collection techniques and safety norms
