Job Description:
Pharmacy staff are responsible for dispensing medicines, managing inventory, and assisting pharmacists or doctors in providing accurate and safe medication to patients. They ensure prescriptions are filled correctly, maintain records, and guide customers on the proper use of medicines.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispensing Medicines: Accurately fill prescriptions as per doctor s orders.
Customer Assistance: Advise patients on dosage, usage, and possible side effects.
Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels, check expiry dates, and reorder supplies when needed.
Prescription Verification: Cross-check prescriptions for accuracy and legality.
Billing and Documentation: Prepare bills, maintain sales and patient records.
Storage and Safety: Store medicines under proper conditions and maintain cleanliness in the pharmacy area.
Compliance: Follow all pharmacy regulations and health department standards.
Coordination: Work with doctors, suppliers, and other staff for smooth operations.
Qualification:
D.Pharm / B.Pharm or equivalent (depending on role)
Registered with State Pharmacy Council (for pharmacist roles)
Skills Required:
Good knowledge of medicines and healthcare products
Attention to detail
Customer service and communication skills
Basic computer and billing knowledge
Ability to handle pressure and maintain accuracy
