## **Job Summary**
The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and professional standards. The role includes assessing patient needs, planning and implementing nursing interventions, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver safe and effective care.

## **Key Responsibilities**
### **1. Patient Care**
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for assigned patients.
* Administer medications, injections, vaccinations, and IV therapy according to protocols.
* Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and clinical conditions and report changes promptly.
* Assist with diagnostic tests, procedures, and treatments.
* Provide wound care, catheter care, and other nursing procedures as required.
### **2. Documentation & Reporting**
* Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient records in electronic or paper systems.
* Document assessments, care provided, patient responses, and medication administration.
* Report abnormal findings or emergency situations to physicians or supervisors.
### **3. Communication & Coordination**
* Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals, and other nurses to plan patient care.
* Provide updates and education to patients and families regarding treatment plans.
* Participate in shift handovers and interdisciplinary meetings.
### **4. Safety & Compliance**
* Follow infection control procedures and hospital safety guidelines.
* Ensure proper handling of medical equipment and supplies.
* Adhere to nursing standards, ethical guidelines, and legal requirements.
### **5. Patient Education**
* Educate patients and families on post-hospital care, medications, diet, and lifestyle.
* Provide emotional support and help patients understand their health conditions.
### **6. Professional Development**
* Participate in training, continuous education, and skill-building programs.
* Stay updated on nursing best practices and hospital protocols.

### **Education & Certification**
* Diploma/Associate/Bachelor s Degree in Nursing
