Job Title: Mining Sales & Service Engineer

Department: Mining / OTR / Industrial Sales
Location: Mine Site / Regional Territory
Reporting To: Mining Manager / Regional Head


Job Summary

The Mining Sales & Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical service support and driving sales growth for mining customers. The role involves on-site support at mine locations, improving product performance, managing customer relationships, and developing new business opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

Sales Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with mining customers (coal, iron ore, limestone, etc.)

  • Promote mining tyres / OTR products / technical services

  • Achieve assigned sales targets for volume and revenue

  • Identify and develop new mine accounts and business opportunities

  • Support techno-commercial proposals, trials, and contract negotiations

Service & Technical Responsibilities

  • Provide regular on-site technical service support at mine sites

  • Conduct inspections, performance monitoring, and failure analysis

  • Analyze product life, wear patterns, and operating conditions

  • Recommend improvements to enhance product performance and reduce cost per ton/hour

  • Train customer personnel on proper product usage, handling, and maintenance

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and mine regulations

Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare and submit service reports, MIS, and performance data

  • Coordinate with internal teams such as operations, service, and R&D

  • Track competitor activity and share market intelligence

  • Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Qualification:

    • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)

  • Experience:

    • 2 8 years of experience in mining, OTR tyres, heavy equipment, or mining services

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong technical and analytical skills

    • Sales orientation with good negotiation abilities

    • Effective communication and presentation skills

    • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools

  • Other Requirements:

    • Willingness to work at remote mine sites

    • Strong focus on safety and compliance

    • Valid driving license preferred
