The Mining Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction of minerals while complying with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.
Plan, organize, and supervise all mining activities, including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and ore extraction.
Prepare short-term and long-term production plans to meet targets.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules and KPIs.
Ensure compliance with mining safety regulations, environmental laws, and statutory requirements.
Implement and enforce safety management systems, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
Conduct regular safety audits and ensure adherence to SOPs.
Supervise utilization, maintenance, and performance of mining machinery and equipment (excavators, dumpers, drills, crushers).
Plan equipment procurement, replacement, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Optimize resource allocation and mining methods for efficiency.
Lead, mentor, and manage site engineers, supervisors, operators, and labor staff.
Plan manpower requirements, training programs, and succession planning.
Foster a culture of safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
Prepare and manage mining budgets, including operational and maintenance costs.
Monitor cost control measures and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
Evaluate vendor proposals, contracts, and mining services.
Implement environmental management plans and rehabilitation strategies.
Ensure compliance with pollution control, waste management, and land restoration norms.
Liaise with local authorities, communities, and regulatory bodies.
Maintain records of production, equipment, safety, and environmental compliance.
Prepare periodic reports for senior management on production, safety, and costs.
Ensure proper documentation for statutory inspections and audits.
