Job Summary

The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, staff, hospital property, and premises while maintaining a calm, courteous, and helpful presence in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor hospital entry and exit points and control access

• Ensure safety of patients, visitors, doctors, and staff

• Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor passes where required

• Patrol hospital premises regularly to prevent unauthorized access

• Assist patients and visitors with directions and basic guidance

• Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, or security incidents

• Coordinate with hospital administration during emergencies

• Ensure crowd control, especially in OPD, emergency, and ICU areas

• Prevent theft, vandalism, or misuse of hospital property

• Report incidents, accidents, or suspicious activities immediately

• Enforce hospital rules, safety, and infection-control protocols

Required Skills & Competencies

• Alert, disciplined, and physically fit

• Polite behavior and good communication skills

• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly

• Basic understanding of hospital safety procedures

• Knowledge of emergency response and evacuation procedures

• Ability to work in shifts (day/night)

Educational Qualifications

• Minimum: 8th / 10th pass (preferred)

• Valid security training certification (if applicable)

Preferred Experience

• Experience in hospital, healthcare, or institutional security

• Ex-servicemen or trained security personnel preferred
