Job Summary
The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, staff, hospital property, and premises while maintaining a calm, courteous, and helpful presence in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor hospital entry and exit points and control access
Ensure safety of patients, visitors, doctors, and staff
Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor passes where required
Patrol hospital premises regularly to prevent unauthorized access
Assist patients and visitors with directions and basic guidance
Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, or security incidents
Coordinate with hospital administration during emergencies
Ensure crowd control, especially in OPD, emergency, and ICU areas
Prevent theft, vandalism, or misuse of hospital property
Report incidents, accidents, or suspicious activities immediately
Enforce hospital rules, safety, and infection-control protocols
Required Skills & Competencies
Alert, disciplined, and physically fit
Polite behavior and good communication skills
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly
Basic understanding of hospital safety procedures
Knowledge of emergency response and evacuation procedures
Ability to work in shifts (day/night)
Educational Qualifications
Minimum: 8th / 10th pass (preferred)
Valid security training certification (if applicable)
Preferred Experience
Experience in hospital, healthcare, or institutional security
Ex-servicemen or trained security personnel preferred
