**Position Summary**
The Human Resources Officer is responsible for supporting the hospital s HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, training, compliance, performance management, and HR administration. The role ensures that the hospital maintains a compliant, efficient, and employee-focused work environment while upholding healthcare standards and regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Recruitment & Staffing**
* Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for clinical and non-clinical positions.
* Prepare job postings, screen candidates, schedule interviews, and assist in final selection.
* Handle onboarding and orientation of new employees, ensuring documentation is complete.
* Maintain staffing records and support workforce planning.
**2. Employee Relations**
* Serve as a point of contact for staff queries regarding HR policies and procedures.
* Support conflict resolution and handle grievance cases professionally.
* Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives.
**3. Training & Development**
* Coordinate mandatory hospital training (BLS/ACLS, safety protocols, infection control, etc.).
* Maintain training compliance records for audits.
* Support continuing education and professional development programs.
**4. HR Compliance & Policy Management**
* Ensure compliance with labor laws, hospital policies, accreditation standards (e.g., NABH, JCI).
* Maintain up-to-date employee files, licenses, and credentials.
* Support HR audits and prepare necessary reports.
**5. Performance Management**
* Assist in performance appraisal processes.
* Track probation evaluations, goal-setting, and performance improvement plans.
**6. Payroll & Benefits Support**
* Coordinate with Finance for payroll processing, attendance verification, and leave management.
* Support employee benefits administration (insurance, health plans, etc.).
* Maintain confidentiality of employee compensation and personal data.
**7. HR Administration**
* Maintain HRMIS, attendance systems, and personnel databases.
* Prepare HR reports, letters (offer, transfer, confirmation), and documentation.
* Support HR projects such as policy updates, employee wellness programs, and hospital events.
**Qualifications & Requirements**
* Bachelor s or Master s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
* Prior experience in healthcare HR preferred (1 3 years for Officer level).
* Knowledge of hospital workforce requirements, credentialing, and licensing is a plus.
* Familiarity with local labor laws and hospital accreditation standards.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
* Proficiency in HR software and MS Office.
