The Hospital Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement, storage, and distribution of medical supplies, equipment, and consumables within the hospital. The role ensures optimal inventory levels, cost control, and compliance with healthcare regulations while supporting clinical and operational needs.
Plan, organize, and manage all hospital store operations, including medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.
Maintain accurate inventory records and implement effective stock control procedures to prevent shortages or excess.
Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and reorder points for timely procurement.
Coordinate with medical, nursing, and administrative staff to fulfill requisitions efficiently.
Procure medical supplies and equipment in compliance with hospital policies and approved budgets.
Supervise, train, and manage store personnel.
Ensure proper storage conditions for medical supplies, including temperature-sensitive items.
Conduct regular audits and stock verification to maintain inventory accuracy.
Prepare periodic reports on stock usage, procurement, and wastage for management review.
Implement and maintain safety, hygiene, and infection control standards in the store.
Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to negotiate pricing and delivery schedules.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and hospital quality standards regarding storage and handling of medical products.
Education: Bachelor s degree in Pharmacy, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field; diploma in hospital store management is an advantage.
Experience: 3 7 years of experience in hospital stores, pharmacy, or healthcare supply management.
