**Position:** Heavy Commercial Vehicle Driver
**Job Summary**
The Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) Driver is responsible for safely operating heavy trucks or commercial vehicles to transport goods, materials, or equipment to assigned destinations. The role requires adherence to traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations while ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Operate heavy commercial vehicles such as trucks, trailers, or tankers in a safe and responsible manner.
* Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment or coordinate with loading staff.
* Transport goods to designated locations on schedule.
* Inspect vehicles daily to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in proper condition.
* Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery records, fuel usage, and mileage reports.
* Follow all traffic rules, regulations, and company safety procedures.
* Communicate with dispatchers regarding delays, accidents, or route issues.
* Report any mechanical problems or maintenance needs immediately.
* Secure cargo to prevent damage or shifting during transport.
* Assist in vehicle cleaning and routine maintenance checks.
**Skills & Qualifications**
* Valid Heavy Vehicle License (HGV/HTV/Commercial License).
* Minimum [X] years of experience driving heavy commercial vehicles.
* Good knowledge of road safety rules and transport regulations.
* Ability to handle long-distance and interstate travel (if required).
* Physically fit and able to lift/load heavy items if necessary.
* Good communication and time management skills.
* Basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage.
**Work Conditions**
* May require long hours and overnight travel.
* Exposure to varying weather conditions.
* Must follow strict safety and transport policies.
