**Job Title:** Patient Care Associate / Patient Care Technician / Patient Care Assistant
**Job Summary:**
The Patient Care Associate provides compassionate, high-quality care to patients while supporting the nursing staff and healthcare team. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
* Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and other relevant patient data.
* Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.
* Ensure patient rooms and care areas are clean, safe, and well-stocked.
* Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families.
* Assist with medical procedures as directed by licensed nursing staff.
* Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.
* Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
* Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to meet patient needs.
**Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications (e.g., CNA, PCT) preferred.
* Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care practices.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving patients.
* Compassion, patience, and a commitment to patient safety.
**Working Conditions:**
* Hospital, clinic, or home care environment.
* May involve exposure to infectious diseases and bodily fluids.
* Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
