### **Position Overview**:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Faculty Member for our Hospitality Management program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, research, and mentoring the next generation of hospitality professionals. The faculty member will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, contributing to the development of academic programs, and engaging in industry-relevant research within the hospitality field.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Teaching and Course Development**:
* Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in hospitality management, tourism, event management, hotel operations, and related subjects.
* Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and lectures that align with industry trends and academic standards.
* Use innovative teaching methods, including case studies, practical demonstrations, and industry simulations, to enhance student engagement and learning.
* Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
**Research and Scholarly Activities**:
* Engage in scholarly research in areas related to hospitality management and tourism.
* Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at industry conferences.
* Participate in faculty research groups and collaborate with colleagues on joint research initiatives.
**Industry and Community Engagement**:
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals, associations, and stakeholders to ensure that the program stays aligned with current industry standards.
* Organize guest lectures, workshops, internships, and other industry-linked opportunities for students.
**Administrative Duties**:
* Contribute to curriculum design and review processes.
* Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and academic governance.
* Provide input into the strategic planning of the department.
* Assist in accreditation and program assessment processes.
**Student Development**:
* Monitor and assess student progress through exams, projects, and presentations.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning, critical thinking, and teamwork.
* Offer support to students outside of class, including through office hours and academic counseling.
**Required Qualifications**:
* Master s degree (or higher) in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred for higher-level teaching roles.
* Professional experience in the hospitality industry (e.g., hotel management, event planning, tourism, or related areas).
* Strong knowledge of hospitality management principles, trends, and best practices.
* Proven teaching experience at the tertiary level is highly desirable.
* A record of or potential for scholarly research and publications in hospitality or related fields.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
* Industry certifications (e.g., Certified Hospitality Administrator (CHA), Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), etc.) are a plus.
* Experience with online or hybrid teaching methods and technologies.
* Multilingual skills are advantageous.
