To ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation and maintenance of the pellet plant s captive power systems, ensuring continuous power supply, optimal performance, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Operate and monitor captive power plant equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliaries
Ensure proper startup, shutdown, and load management for uninterrupted power supply to pellet plant operations
Monitor plant parameters using DCS / PLC systems and field instruments
Control fuel feed, steam generation, and auxiliary systems for optimal efficiency
Coordinate preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities
Analyze operational issues, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and reliability of power plant equipment
Support commissioning, trials, and performance optimization of new equipment
Ensure strict adherence to statutory safety regulations, environmental norms, and plant SOPs
Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and pre-shift briefings
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and abnormal operating conditions
Track plant performance indicators such as power output, heat rate, fuel efficiency, and auxiliary consumption
Suggest and implement energy optimization and cost reduction initiatives
Support quality power supply to the pellet plant and associated operations
Maintain operating logs, shift records, and maintenance reports
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly performance and incident reports for management
Document safety incidents and corrective actions
Coordinate with pellet plant operations, maintenance, and utility teams
Liaise with vendors and contractors for power plant maintenance or upgrades
Strong knowledge of power plant systems (boilers, turbines, generators, auxiliaries)
Familiarity with DCS / PLC-based operations and instrumentation
