An Electrical & Instrumentation Technician (E&I) is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of electrical systems, control equipment, and process instrumentation in industrial plants, power stations, utilities, manufacturing facilities, or similar environments. You ensure that all systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently according to technical standards and safety requirements.
Install, test, calibrate, and maintain process instruments such as transmitters, sensors, flow meters, temperature/pressure/level gauges, analyzers, and control valves.
Perform preventive maintenance and functional checks on instrumentation systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct faults in instrumentation circuits and devices.
Record calibration results, adjustments, and instrumentation performance data.
Install and maintain low and medium voltage electrical systems, including switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), circuit breakers, lighting panels, and wiring.
Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams), and other technical drawings.
Inspect, test, and repair electrical components such as relays, starters, drives (VFDs), transformers, and control panels.
Route, terminate and splice conduits, cables and wiring as per standards.
