**Job Title:** Electrical Engineer Plant Operation
**Position Summary**
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant s electrical systems and equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving electrical infrastructure, supporting automation systems, and leading projects to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Maintenance & Troubleshooting**
* Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in plant equipment such as motors, drives, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, PLCs, and instrumentation.
* Provide technical support to maintenance teams during breakdowns and planned shutdowns.
* Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for recurring electrical faults and implement corrective actions.
**2. Plant Operations Support**
* Monitor electrical systems to ensure reliable power distribution across the plant.
* Support continuous operation of production lines by ensuring electrical equipment availability.
* Review and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
**3. Projects & Improvements**
* Plan and execute electrical engineering projects (equipment upgrades, expansions, automation improvements).
* Prepare technical documents including specifications, drawings, and project schedules.
* Evaluate new technologies to improve efficiency, safety, and energy management.
**4. Compliance & Safety**
* Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and plant safety policies.
* Conduct electrical safety audits, risk assessments, and implement corrective actions.
* Maintain documentation for equipment certifications, testing, and inspections.
**5. Documentation & Reporting**
* Maintain up-to-date single-line diagrams, schematics, and equipment records.
* Generate reports on electrical performance, energy consumption, and downtime analysis.
**Experience**
* 2 8 years of experience in plant, industrial, or manufacturing environment (adjust as required).
* Experience with PLCs, VFDs, SCADA, relay logic, and power distribution systems is preferred.
**Technical Skills**
* Strong knowledge of motors, drives, control circuits, MCCs, switchgear, and protection systems.
* Familiarity with automation systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.).
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
* Proficiency with maintenance tools and CMMS systems.
**Soft Skills**
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure during breakdowns or shutdowns.
