 **Job Title: Computer Operator Plant Operations**
 **Job Summary**

The Computer Operator is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and supporting plant operations through computerized systems. This role ensures continuous production flow, equipment efficiency, accurate data entry, and timely reporting. The operator works closely with maintenance, production, and quality teams to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance.

 **Key Responsibilities**

 **1. Plant System Monitoring**

* Operate and monitor plant control systems, SCADA, PLC, DCS, or other automated systems.
* Track real-time process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rate, etc.).
* Identify abnormal conditions and report or escalate issues promptly.

 **2. Data Entry & Documentation**

* Enter production data, equipment logs, downtime records, and shift reports.
* Maintain accurate digital records of process activities.
* Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports as required.

 **3. Production Support**

* Start, stop, and adjust equipment operations through computer control systems under supervision.
* Assist plant supervisors with scheduling and production planning data.
* Coordinate with floor operators for synchronized operation of machinery.

 **4. System Maintenance & Troubleshooting**

* Perform routine system checks and basic troubleshooting of software or interface issues.
* Report technical problems to IT or Maintenance teams.
* Ensure backups, updates, and security protocols are followed.

 **5. Safety & Compliance**

* Follow plant safety rules, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and emergency response protocols.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements.
* Immediately report hazards, system alarms, or safety incidents.

 **Required Qualifications**

* High school diploma; technical diploma or IT/engineering background preferred.
* Experience with industrial computer systems, SCADA/DCS/PLC interfaces, or plant production systems.
* Basic understanding of manufacturing or plant operations.
* Good typing, data entry, and reporting skills.
* Ability to work rotating shifts.
