Job Summary

A Civil Engineer plans, designs, and oversees the construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, buildings, dams, and water systems. They ensure projects are safe, cost-effective, environmentally responsible, and completed according to regulations and design specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop civil engineering projects using technical drawings and plans

• Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess conditions and feasibility

• Prepare project cost estimates, schedules, and material requirements

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations

• Supervise construction activities and coordinate with contractors and other engineers

• Analyze data and prepare reports, documentation, and technical presentations

• Identify and solve engineering problems during planning and construction phases

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

• Basic knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and materials

• Ability to read and create technical drawings and specifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and math skills

• Good communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Skills

• Experience with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D)

Work Environment
