Position Summary
The Accountant is responsible for managing daily financial operations, maintaining accurate books of accounts, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and preparing financial reports to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting
Record daily transactions: sales, purchase, expenses, cash, and bank entries.
Maintain ledgers, journals, and updated bookkeeping.
2. Billing & Invoicing
Prepare and issue customer invoices.
Verify vendor bills and record them in the system.
3. Bank & Cash Management
Daily bank reconciliation.
Maintain cash book, petty cash handling, and payment follow-ups.
4. GST & Tax Compliance
Prepare GST entries and assist in filing GST returns.
Calculate TDS and support monthly/quarterly tax compliance.
5. Payroll Management
Prepare salary sheets.
Manage attendance records, deductions (PF/ESI if applicable).
6. Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements.
Assist in preparing balance sheet, cash flow, and MIS reports.
7. Inventory & Asset Management
Maintain stock ledger updates.
Record asset purchases and calculate depreciation.
8. Audit Support
Coordinate with internal/external auditors.
Prepare required financial documents for audit.
9. Vendor & Client Coordination
Follow up for dues and payments.
Resolve invoice discrepancies.
10. Data Accuracy & Compliance
Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all financial data.
Follow accounting standards and company policies.
Required Skills
Knowledge of Tally ERP/Prime or accounting software.
Good understanding of GST, TDS, and basic taxation.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
MS Excel proficiency.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
