About the Job

Al-Fisi Biryani is looking for an experienced, responsible, and hardworking Kitchen Captain to supervise daily kitchen operations, coordinate with chefs and kitchen helpers, maintain food quality, and ensure smooth workflow. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and knowledge of kitchen management, food safety, and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities.
- Manage kitchen helpers, cooks, and other kitchen staff.
- Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency.
- Monitor food preparation and maintain proper portion sizes.
- Check the availability of ingredients and kitchen supplies.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow food safety standards.
- Monitor food storage and minimize food wastage.
- Coordinate with restaurant management and service staff.
- Ensure timely preparation of orders, especially during busy hours.
- Maintain discipline and ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and hygiene standards.
- Good leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours.
- Responsible, punctual, and organized.
- Knowledge of biryani preparation and Indian cuisine will be an advantage.
