We are looking for an experienced Classroom Furniture Production Incharge who will be responsible for managing the complete manufacturing process of classroom furniture from raw material planning to final dispatch. The candidate must have complete knowledge of classroom furniture manufacturing, production planning, fabrication, woodworking, quality control, inventory management, and dispatch coordination to ensure timely and quality deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Execution
Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
Ensure smooth manufacturing of classroom furniture products such as tables, chairs, benches, desks, cabinets, and storage units.
Monitor fabrication, welding, grinding, drilling, powder coating, wooden top fitting, assembly, and finishing activities.
Coordinate with design and planning teams to execute production as per drawings.
2. Raw Material Management
Plan and monitor raw material requirements.
Maintain stock of MS pipes, sheets, MDF/plywood, edge bands, jalli, end caps, hardware, fasteners, and accessories.
Coordinate with purchase for timely procurement.
Reduce material wastage and improve material utilization.
3. Manufacturing Knowledge
Complete understanding of classroom furniture manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of:
MS pipe fabrication
MIG welding
Powder coating
Wooden top manufacturing
Edge banding
Assembly
Quality finishing
Ability to troubleshoot production issues.
4. Team Management
Supervise fabricators, welders, fitters, helpers, powder coating operators, and assembly staff.
Allocate manpower based on production requirements.
Train employees on quality and productivity standards.
Ensure discipline and workplace safety.
5. Quality Control
Ensure products meet approved specifications and drawings.
Inspect dimensions, welding quality, powder coating finish, assembly, and final appearance.
Minimize rejection and rework.
6. Inventory & Production Records
Maintain production reports and WIP status.
Track finished goods inventory.
Monitor consumption of raw materials.
Submit daily production updates to management.
7. Packing & Dispatch
Ensure proper packing of finished goods.
Coordinate loading and dispatch as per delivery schedules.
Verify quantities before dispatch.
Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for timely deliveries.
8. Process Improvement
Improve production efficiency.
Reduce manufacturing time and costs.
Implement SOPs and 5S practices.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
Complete knowledge of classroom furniture manufacturing.
Strong production planning and scheduling skills.
Knowledge of fabrication, welding, powder coating, woodworking, and assembly.
Raw material planning and inventory management.
Quality inspection and process control.
Leadership and manpower handling.
Ability to read production drawings and AutoCAD drawings.
Basic Excel and reporting skills.
Educational Qualification
Diploma or ITI in Mechanical/Production/Fabrication or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree is an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
5–10 years in classroom furniture, school furniture, office furniture, or steel furniture manufacturing.
Experience handling end-to-end production from raw material to dispatch.
